On the directives of Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Road Safety Committee continued its crackdown against overloading, overspeeding, and substandard commercial vehicles, imposing a fine of Rs101,400 on violators of road safety regulations.

According to a statement by Sindh Information Department today, the committee checked 33 vehicles, issued challans to 20, and took four of them into custody.

Memon said that the committee was conducting surprise inspections across the province to curb traffic violations. He said that traffic law violations had posed a major threat to human lives, therefore, the Sindh government was taking strict action against those offenders.

He further said that overloading, overspeeding, and unfit vehicles would not be tolerated on the roads. All commercial vehicles must comply with safety regulations, and violators will face strict legal action. Memon stated that operations would continue to regulate traffic, prevent accidents, and ensure strict enforcement of road safety laws.
