A Russian Federation delegation on Friday confirmed that both houses of its parliament will participate in the forthcoming Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), during a high-level meeting focused on the intricate logistical and security arrangements for the global event.

The official discussions took place between Mr. Anton Berniakovich, Head of the Political Station, and Mr. Anton Verschagin of the Russian Federation, and Ms. Misbah Khar, who serves as Advisor to the Chairman Senate of Pakistan and Ambassador to the ISC. The Senior Director General (Protocol) from the Senate of Pakistan was also present.

Beyond logistical planning, both sides explored avenues for strengthened parliamentary cooperation, emphasizing the significance of multilateral dialogue and inclusive global representation within the ISC framework.

Deliberations centered on refining the organizational specifics of the conference, with detailed conversations on the event’s program, official protocol, and security coordination.

Ms. Khar provided the visiting dignitaries with a comprehensive overview of the extensive measures being implemented by Pakistan to facilitate a seamless and well-orchestrated conference, ensuring adherence to international standards and diplomatic protocols.

The Russian officials acknowledged the efforts of the Chairman Senate of Pakistan, expressing appreciation for his initiative in promoting a global dialogue centered on peace, security, and sustainable development.

Concluding the meeting, Ms. Khar reiterated that Pakistan places great importance on its relationship with the Russian Federation, deeply valuing the enduring diplomatic and bilateral ties between the two nations.
