Islamabad, May 31, 2023 (PPI-OT): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Convener, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, and senior leader, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir have congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his re-election as the President of Turkiye. Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a letter to Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, “It is indeed a historic and momentous occasion for you and your party, the Turkiye Justice and Development Party (AkParty), which has already won a majority in the parliamentary elections.”
He said in the letter that the trust and confidence reposed on Recep Tayyip Erdogan by the Turkish people will be a source of great strength for him in materializing his long cherished dream of making Turkiye a great nation. We believe that under your dynamic leadership, Turkiye will continue to prosper and reach new heights of success, he wrote to the Turkish President. Saghar in the letter maintained that Recep Tayyip Erdogan proved to be the voice of all voiceless people across the globe, be it Palestine, Rohingya Muslims, Yemen, Egypt, Syria, Afghanistan, Kashmir and elsewhere. He said the Kashmiris owe the Turkish President a debt of gratitude for raising his voice in favour of their right to self-determination on every important forum.
“Turkey is an important country with which we share an unbreakable bond of love and affinity, togetherness. And above all, Turkey is one amongst those friendly countries that have wholeheartedly supported our struggle for the right to self-determination, for which we are highly grateful to you, your government and especially the Turkish people who stood by us through every thick and thin,” he added. He said the people of Kashmir hope that Turkiye, under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will continue its all-out support to the Kashmiris’ legitimate political struggle till they achieve their cherished goal of freedom from Indian subjugation.
Senior APHC-AJK leader, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, in his felicitation message said every individual in Indian illegally occupied Jammu Kashmir feels indebted to Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkiye for the unwavering support to the just causes of the people of Kashmir and Palestine. “The people of both these occupied lands celebrated your victory because it meant a lot to them and to their struggles against illegal occupation,” he added. Ghulam Muhammad Safi maintained that Turkey’s absence from G20 meeting in the UN-recognized disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir also conveyed a strong message to the occupying power, India. He also prayed for peace, prosperity and territorial integrity of Turkiye under your dynamic leadership.
