Following Pakistan’s recent military success, Ahmed Azeem Alvi, the President of the SITE Association of Industry, extended heartfelt gratitude for the achievement. He credited the victory to divine support, the public’s prayers, and the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army. Alvi underscored the need for the nation to pivot its focus towards economic revival.

Alvi called on the government to engage the business community actively in shaping economic policies. He advocated for easing the tax burden on businesses and shielding them from undue interference by Federal Board of Revenue officials. To enhance transparency and curb corruption, he proposed a streamlined tax system with a one-window operation allowing direct deposits into official bank accounts.

Addressing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Alvi highlighted the Prime Minister’s business acumen, expressing optimism that he comprehends the hurdles entrepreneurs encounter. He urged for business-friendly policies and protection from regulatory harassment.

Alvi emphasized the business sector’s commitment to expanding operations, generating employment, and increasing foreign exchange reserves. He believes these steps are crucial for long-term economic stability.

Echoing the military triumph, Alvi remarked, ‘Just as Pakistan succeeded on the battlefield, it can also achieve victory in the economic arena and emerge as a strong economic power.’
