The Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Nurlan Yermekbayev, has arrived in Islamabad today for a pivotal two-day visit. Yermekbayev is visiting at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, marking a significant step in fostering regional cooperation.

The Secretary General is set to meet with top Pakistani officials, including the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Commerce and Foreign Secretary. His itinerary also includes delivering a speech at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad and engaging with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and media representatives.

The visit is anticipated to strengthen Pakistan’s collaboration with the SCO Secretariat in pursuing mutual regional security and economic objectives.
