Secretary assures security to doctors, other health staff

QUETTA:Noor-ul-Haq Baloch, Secretary, Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Government of Balochistan, has said security to the doctors and healthcare workers of government hospitals would be ensured.

This he said while presiding over a high level meeting here on Wednesday in connection with the security arrangements of Sandeman Provincial Hospital Quetta. Baloch said that no compromise would be made on the security of hospitals.

The meeting decided not to permit vehicles to enter into the premises of hospitals without stickers so as to improve the traffic system in this hospital. It was also decided to impart training on security personnel and watchmen of SPH Quetta.

It was also decided to convene the meeting afresh after two weeks to review as to whether the decisions of the previous meetings had been implemented or not. The meeting was attended by Deputy Inspector General of Police, Balochistan, Azhar, Medical Superintendent, Sandeman Provincial Hospital, Quetta, Dr. Arbab Kamran Kasi, Managing Director, Trauma Centre, Dr. Yasir Shah, Planning Officer, Dr. Abu Bakar Baloch, Dr. Shah Mengal and other senior officers.
