KARACHI:Secretary Health Sindh Dr Kazim Hussain Jatoi paid a surprise visit to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) and inspected OPD Block to establish COVID-19 Vaccination Centre for healthcare professionals.
According to CHK information on Wednesday, the Medical Superintendent, CHK, Dr Noor Somoor, Additional Medical Superintendent Dr Ismail Memon and other officials were also present on this occasion.
Jatoi and other officials inspected the OPD Block to establish COVID-19 Vaccination Centre for vaccination of front line workers, and healthcare workers of CHK and other nearby health facilities.
The vaccine will be available in the province by the end of this month with support from National Vaccine Task Force and National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). In the first phase, the healthcare professionals and front line workers would be administrated vaccination.
The data of front line workers of public and private sector hospitals has been compiled for vaccination in first phase. The elderly people above 60 and suffering from other ailments would be administrated vaccine in the second phase.
