Security plan issued for Larkana division

Larkana:Eid ul Adha prayers will be held at 656 mosques, Imam Bargah and Eid Gahs in the entire Larkana division for which a security plan has been issued by the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), Larkana Range, Irfan Ali Baloch, here on Wednesday. Out of these 656 places, 88 are in Larkana, 81 in Kambar-Shahdadkot, 104 in Shikarpur, 198 in Jacobabad, 185 in Kandhkot @ Kashmore districts for which as many as 7923 cops will be discharging security duties.

DIGP said that of 7923 constables, ASIs and other officials, 1360 will be deployed in Larkana district, 1132 in Kambar-Shahdadkot, 1511 in Shikarpur, 1873 in Jacobabad and 2047 in Kandhkot @ Kashmore district. Baloch said that if need be, services of Rangers will also be available for which all DSPs have been issued instructions to monitor the security arrangements in their respective limits. He said it has also been ordered to ensure increased patrolling, pickets and checking in bordering districts with other provinces of Kashmore, Jacobabad and Kambar-Shahdadkot.

He said all exit and entry points will also be monitored across the division and suspected persons will be nabbed. He claimed that smooth flow of traffic will also be ensured so that citizens should not face any difficulty. He said security has also been beefed up at shopping malls, bazaars, trading centers, markets and cattle markets where it will also be ensured that SOPs issued by the provincial government are implemented properly. He said control rooms have also been established at all five offices of SSPs of Larkana division to monitor the entire security situation.

Meanwhile, SSP Masood Bangash has constituted the Rising of Reserve Force (RRF) consisting of 100 officers and constables who have undergone commando training to face any eventual incidents, maintain peace and tranquility in the Larkana district. The RRF has been equipped with latest weapons, walkie talkie, wireless and vehicles. The force includes two inspectors, two sub-inspectors and six ASIs. It will work round the clock. SSP Bangash claimed that the RRF will also work in villages, riverine areas apart from cities and towns of the district to maintain peace.
