Senator Sherry Rehman, leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) in the Senate, met President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency today to discuss the national budget and diplomatic relations with India. Rehman briefed the President on Senate activities and emphasized the PPPP’s cooperation in legislation.

She outlined the joint committee’s diplomatic efforts to promote Pakistan’s stance on peace and balanced behavior during recent tensions with India.

The Senator thanked Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for their support of the committee and its leader, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

President Zardari praised the committee’s active international relations and its work in conveying Pakistan’s perspective globally.
