On Thursday, the temperature across the country reached dangerous levels and there is no possibility of it decreasing on Friday as well. Most parts of the country, especially the plain areas, are experiencing severe heat.

Pakistan Meteorological Department recorded a maximum temperature of 47 degrees Celsius in Dadu, Jacobabad and Nokundi. The temperature reached 46 degrees Celsius in Mohenjo-daro, Dalbandin, Nawabshah, Sibi and Rohri. The mercury reached 45 degrees Celsius in Padidan, Hyderabad, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Sukkur and Tando Jam. Only Narowal got some relief with 01 mm of rain.

The Meteorological Department has forecast hot and dry weather in most parts of Sindh and upper and central Punjab on Friday. Extreme daytime heat is likely in the plains of Sindh and the southern and eastern districts of Punjab. Islamabad and Rawalpindi are expected to have hot weather with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms. Partly cloudy weather is expected in northeast Punjab, with the possibility of thunderstorms in Murree, Galliyat, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore and adjoining areas.

Hot and dry weather is also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan. Kashmir may have partly cloudy skies, with the possibility of light rain in and around Jammu.
