KARACHI:Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain, along with his team, paid a surprise visit to Naurus Company.
According to a handout sent by Sindh Information Depatment, Deputy Director Kaemari Muhammad Bashir Khan was also with the team during the visit. The cleanliness situation in the production part of the company was found to be very unsanitary. Pickles and other food items were kept in the chemical drums.
The team of Sindh Food Authority imposed a fine of Rs400, 000 on the company. The company's production house was temporarily closed.
Mr Agha said that all establishments manufacturing food and beverages should follow the rules of Sindh Food Authority. Action will be taken against those who do not follow the health rules.
