Sherry urges sustainable steps to save water resources

ISLAMABAD:Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman on Wednesday emphasized the need for taking durable and sustainable steps to save the country’s water resources besides conserving water.

Sherry said this while addressing the National Assembly session on Wednesday amid debate on the federal budget for next fiscal year. She said that the PTI government left the economy on ventilator. She said the present government had taken difficult decisions whilst putting its political reputation at stake to save the country from default. Sherry said it was the PTI that had struck the agreement with the IMF.

She said that the present government had put its credibility at stake by taking tough decisions to save the country from default. The minister regretted the PTI had no respect for democracy and was pursuing the politics of dividing the society. She called for collective steps to steer the country out of crises.
