Srinagar, July 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Acting President of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML), Abdul Ahad Parra has strongly condemned the shifting of party leader, Muhammad Hayat Butt to jail in another fake case.
Abdul Ahad Parra in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian police had arrested Muhammad Hayat Butt under draconian Public safety Act (PSA) after August 5, 2019 when Modi-led fascist Indian government repealed Kashmir’s special status and imposed military siege in the territory.
He added that the High Court quashed his detention under PSA and ordered his release but the authorities, instead of releasing him, sent him to jail in another false case. Abdul Ahad Parra said that India could not suppress the ongoing freedom movement through such cheap tactics and appealed to the international human rights organisations to take solid steps for release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists, including Muhammad Hayat Butt.
