Shikarpur police bust gang of three bandits, recover Rs2.3m looted money

SHIKARPUR:Shikarpur police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three bandits, one in injured condition, with weapons and looted money, in an encounter near Manchar Shah graveyard within the limits of Stuart Gunj police station.

Addressing a press conference at SSP Office today morning, SSP Shikarpur Kamran Nawaz Panjutha informed media persons that a couple of days back, a professional dacoits gang looted cash from Hindu businessmen Jaipal Das, Rajesh Kumar and Gansham Das from their house and shops situated wthin the jurisdiction of Stuart Gunj police station in Shikarpur.

On an information, the police raided a den of dacoits and in an encounter, they arrested three dacoits identified as Sajjan Khan alias Qamaroo Buledi of Kambar, Ahsan Luhar and injured Ghulam Fareed Jaffery. He said that the police also recovered Rs2.3 million looted money from the possession of arrested dacoits, while their other accomplices fled under the cover of firing.

According to SSP Shikarpur, arrested dacoits were involved in many other heinous crimes committed in Shikarpur, Larkana, Kambar, Karachi and other areas in Larkana Division. Further investigation was going on, said police.
