Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui had detailed meeting with Google, Telecom Foundation and Tech Valley Pak

Islamabad, May 08, 2020 (PPI-OT): Ministry of IT and Telecom under the chairmanship of Secretary-IT, Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui had a detailed meeting with Google, Telecom Foundation, Tech Valley Pak (Official Implementation Partner for Google’s CS First Program in Pakistan) and Virtual University for training the teachers and students of TF schools under Pakistan’s first grassroot level Coding Skills Development Program which is based on the CS First Program of Google (a global initiative for coding skills).

In the first phase of the program the #TelecomFoundation Schools will benefit from this initiative which will include 13 schools nationwide to be followed by bigger Cohorts in the phases to come. The program will be mainly divided into two parts; Train the Trainer followed by orientation of students on the said platform. The program will assist the TF Schools in developing an integrated curriculum for adopting the course on a continuous basis. Keeping in view and following the COVID-19 protocols, pilot program will kick-off in #Islamabad, tentatively from 1st June 2020, further extended to TF schools in #Lahore and #Karachi.
