Srinagar, July 04, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed on July 8, Sunday to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani. Burhan Wani was martyred along with his two associates by Indian troops in a fake encounter on July 8, 2016. Call for the strike has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.
They also asked religious clerics to hold Fateh Khwani on July 6th to commemorate 2nd death anniversary of Wani and 126 others slain in 2016 uprising. The JRL will hold also a public meeting in Tral – native town of Wani on July 8.
