Sindh’s Minister for Development, Energy, and Planning, Nasir Hussain Shah, has announced that the Sindh government has allocated a substantial amount of 25 billion rupees to promote solar energy in the province. This initiative is aimed at reducing electricity costs and providing relief to the public.

This funding is part of the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and the Chief Minister of Sindh, which aims to provide affordable, if not free, electricity to residents, particularly targeting the deprived and poor segments. The Department of Energy in Sindh is pushing this project as a top priority, ensuring that the distribution of solar panels is carried out swiftly and effectively across the region.

Nasir Shah stated that this financial support, allocated under the block budget, will facilitate various developmental initiatives without the need for external assistance or votes, reflecting a strong majority in the assembly. Despite facing severe criticism during the budget announcement, the Chief Minister countered the opposition’s protests, which Shah mentioned disrupted the established procedure and assembly proceedings.

Shah confirmed that the People’s Party has served all districts of Sindh without discrimination, with special attention given to the needs of Karachi.

In his concluding remarks, Minister Shah also spoke on international affairs, mentioning the destruction of military bases in Israel and the positive reception of these events among Muslims worldwide. His statement emphasizes a strong peace-focused stance, supporting the provincial government’s commitment to welfare and global solidarity.
