KARACHI:Sindh government has allocated Rs 4 billion for the rain affectees and was making efforts to get Rs 4 billion more from the federal government.
“Sindh government is keenly interested to serve the people of Sindh practically, especially those who are living in far flung and remote areas of the province and the present Sindh government always stands with those people who are facing difficulties and are compelled to run their lives within meager and limited resource from their daily little bit earnings, he said while talking to the people belonging to various walks of life at Ali House this morning.
Shah told that the Sindh government had allocated a sum of Rs 4 billion for the rain affectees and was also trying to get more Rs 4 billion from the federal government. He further said that present Sindh government was also developing economic resources in the province and also encouraging private sectors to come forward and establish maximum trade centers at micro and macro levels so that we could create more and more job opportunities to the jobless youth of Sindh on one hand where as to boost socio-economic conditions of the area of province on the other hand.
On the occasion, he disclosed that Sindh government was also focusing its full attention on the development and beatification of Karachi, the capital city of Sindh and laying a net of roads and working on other mega projects. A four kilometer road has been constructed from Mallah Chowrangi to sea and another drainage scheme has also been completed, he added.
Shah further said that to provide maximum better environment, Rs 700 million incurved on the development, beatification, renovation and removal of encroachments at Sailor Chowrangi. We donot believe only in empty promises but believe in practical and ground realities so that the people dwelling in rural as well as urban areas of Sindh could take the benefits from Sindh government development projects and scio-economics policies, he added.
Later, a delegation of lady teachers apprised him about their grievances. Shah assured them of their redressed.
