Sindh Chief Minister urges Naval Chief to provide employment to fishermen’s children

Karachi, October 26, 2020 (PPI-OT):Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah congratulating New Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Amjad Khan Niazi has said that it was an honour for the people of the province that the chief of Pakistan Navy belonged to Sanghar district. “Your [Admiral Niazi] appointment as the chief of Pakistan Navy is the source of inspiration for our new generation who are keen to join the forces, particularly Pakistan Navy,” he said while exchanging views with the new Naval Chief who called on him here at CM House.

The Naval Chief shared his early age experiences and struggle in Sanghar to the chief minister and said he would try to serve people of his native district. At this, the chief minister urged him to help the provincial government to establish a best cadet college or make Sanghar Cadet College as a seat of excellence. The Naval chief assured the chief minister of his full support.

The chief minister said that their fishermen loved the sea and lived there without any fear. “They fish out their square meals from the high tides of the Arabian Sea,” he said and added the children of fishermen should be given employment opportunities in the Pakistan Navy.

The Naval chief appreciated the proposal of the chief minister and assured him to develop a system under which fishermen could be provided employment opportunities. The chief minister proposed to the Naval Chief to help create recreational activities at different jetties and small islands located from Karachi to Keti Bandar. At this, the Naval Chief assured the chief minister that the proposal would be worked out in the larger interest of the nation. The chief minister presented traditional gifts of Ajrak, Sindhi cap and his memento to the visiting guest.
