KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah taking serious notice of the fire incident in village Faiz Mohammad Duryani Chandio, taluka Mehar, District Dadu has removed deputy commissioner Dadu and placed the services of DHO and Assistant Commissioner under suspension.

 

It may be recalled that a mysterious fire erupted in village Faiz Mohammad Duryani of District Dadu on April 17 at around 9 pm and within half an hour it spread in the entire village and reduced over 50 houses to ashes, perished 160 livestock and killed nine children. The chief minister personally visited the village next day and announced compensation for the affected families and ordered an inquiry under Secretary Home Saeed Mangnijo.

 

In the light of the inquiry the chief minister has ordered removal of Deputy Commissioner Dadu Samiullah Shaikh and placed the services of District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Abdul Hameed Shaikh, BPS-20, and Assistant Commissioner Mehar Faheem Lakhair under suspension for their failure to respond to the incident in time.

 

The chief minister has posted Syed Murtaza Shah as new deputy commissioner Dadu and directed him to take necessary urgent measures for the restoration of the unfortunate village and welfare of the villagers.
