Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori announced the launch of the “Pakistan Bachao Tehreek” (Save Pakistan Movement) during the 14th Iftar/Dinner under the “Ittehad-e-Ramzan” initiative at the Governor House. The event underscored the need for unity amidst the current security challenges.

The evening commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Wakeef from the United Republic of Comoros. Maulana Muhammad Yousuf Fareed and Maulana Hafiz Huzaifa Rahimi followed with Na’at recitations, while a special child offered a heartfelt tribute in praise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In response, Governor Tessori awarded the child a cash prize of PKR 50,000 and pledged an Umrah trip for the child and his mother at his own expense.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Tessori affirmed the inclusive nature of the Governor House, emphasizing its openness to all communities, sects, and religions. He conveyed greetings to the Hindu community on Holi and reiterated Quaid-e-Azam’s vision of equal rights for all minorities in Pakistan.

In his speech, Governor Tessori acknowledged Karachi’s resilience against terrorism and highlighted the city’s readiness to safeguard the nation. The newly announced “Pakistan Bachao Tehreek” will spearhead efforts to counter threats, starting from Karachi.

He also reaffirmed his dedication to public service, assuring attendees that the Governor House remains accessible around the clock for addressing citizen concerns. Highlighting cultural inclusivity, he shared that the Governor House has hosted various cultural and religious events, a tradition he promised to uphold.

Governor Tessori announced plans to transform Sindh into an IT hub, with 50,000 youths currently receiving free IT training at the Governor House, preparing them for future opportunities in the digital sector.

The evening concluded with a lucky draw. Hassan Bilal and Ahad received Umrah tickets, while plots in Smart City were won by Imdad Soomro, Maqsood Ahmed, Jibran Ali, and Sajjad Hussain. Muhammad Waseem from Rahim Yar Khan won a motorcycle, and cash Eid gifts were distributed to several attendees, including Mansoor Ahmed, Nadia, and Mehboob Ahmed.
