Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori observed the 77th death anniversary of Nishan-e-Haider, Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, and paid tribute to his bravery and sacrifice.
In a statement, Tessori described Captain Sarwar’s sacrifice as a shining chapter in Pakistan’s history. He termed Captain Sarwar’s courage, religious devotion, war strategy, and sense of duty as a beacon for future generations.
The nation’s first Nishan-e-Haider recipient, Captain Sarwar, was martyred in Tithwal on July 27, 1948, during the first Kashmir war.
Tessori emphasized that the sacrifices of martyrs like Captain Sarwar protected Pakistan’s freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He said that Captain Sarwar’s passion instilled patriotism, sacrifice, and a sense of responsibility in today’s youth.
The Governor said that the entire nation is proud of this great son, whose sacrifice laid the foundation of Pakistan’s military principles and whose memory will always remain.
