KARACHI:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA from Sindh Malik Shehzad Awan on Monday announced to quit the party and politics after condemning the May 9 incidents. Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, Mr. Awan said that the attacks on the military installations after the arrest of the PTI chairman Imran Khan were condemnable; therefore, he was quitting PTI along with politics. He said that action should be taken against those elements involved in such attacks.

Awan was elected MPA from PS-116 Karachi constituency in the 2018 general elections. He was one of the active politician of the PTI. Since May 9-10 attacks, several political leaders and elected MPs of PTI have quit the party, leaving Imran Khan almost alone and disappointed. A historical change has occurred in Pakistan, as everyone is amazed how this happened.
