A group of trainee Sindh Police officers from the National Police Academy toured Safe City Islamabad to learn about its advanced security systems.

Islamabad Police officers said today that they welcomed the delegation and provided a comprehensive overview of the facility”s operations. SSP Safe City Muhammad Iqbal Khan and an assistant director led the tour, showcasing key areas like the police operations center, online women”s police station, web TV, and wireless control room.

The visiting officers were also given a detailed explanation of the command and control center”s importance and how it functions. The tour included a look at Safe City Islamabad”s core systems, particularly its sophisticated surveillance cameras. The delegation learned about the operational processes and the efficacy of these systems in maintaining public order.

The Sindh Police trainees were informed about the Safe City project”s wide-ranging impact on various sectors, leveraging modern technology. This includes initiatives such as the emergency control center, dispatch control center, E-Challan system, and the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline.

The briefing highlighted the crucial role of Safe City”s surveillance cameras in ensuring public safety, deterring unlawful acts, and safeguarding citizens and their belongings. The delegation also learned about the facial recognition cameras installed at Islamabad”s entry and exit points to identify potential threats.

The visiting officers praised Islamabad Police”s advanced technological setup and its demonstrated effectiveness. They expressed their appreciation to the Director General Safe City Islamabad and his staff for a productive and insightful visit.
