LARKANA: Sindh Police Martyrs Day was observed on Wednesday at special ceremony in Larkana, which was largely participated by police officers, divisional commissioner Ghanwar Ali Leghari, rangers and intelligence officers and people from the civil society.

SSP Larkana Sarfraz Nawaz Sheikh while addressing the participants said that the sacrifices of the police officers of the Larkana range are included in making the Kacha area of Larkana safe by eliminating all lawless elements. He said keeping the sacrifices of officers and Jawans of all ranks in front, this day is a day of loyalty and we have not forgotten those martyrs who rendered their precious lives for the people to maintain peace and tranquility. He further said that complete facilities are provided to the families of police martyrs under the law prescribed by the Sindh government.

DIGP Larkana Range, Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh, said that history is full of martyrs’ sacrifices and martyrs are alive among us even today. He said the rank of martyrdom is the best and highest. DIGP said that deserving of praise and the sacrifices of honorable descendants are unforgettable as the police department is like a family.

We cannot leave any member of our family alone, DIGP Shaikh added. The police department will stand side by side with all those families in every hardship, he declared. Later, DIGP and SSP Larkana gave gifts to the families of the martyrs and had food with their families.
