Sindh University students took streets demanded withdraw decision to fees increase

JAMSHORO: Thousands of students have been affected by the cruel decisions of Sindh University. The university administration has suddenly increased the fees of regular students by Rs 5,000 while the self-financing fees have been increased by Rs 12,000.

Due to the outbreak of covid19, the teaching process at the university was also shut down. On the other hand, due to the economic crisis, the parents of the students are suffering from unemployment and economic misery.

Imran Akhtar, head of social organization, has demanded the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, Governor Sindh and Chief Minister Sindh to refrain from taking such steps to endanger the future of children and deprive them of education.

On the other hand, the students of the university condemned the increase in the fees of the university and at the same time demanded that they refrain from such anti-education measures and decide to reduce the fees instead of increasing them, otherwise they would oppose this cruel decision of the university. Sindh University Students’ Action Committee has staged a sit-in inside the university and demanded withdrawal of decision to increase fees.
