Nasirabad: As part of its week-long drive, Sindhi Shagrid Tehreek, a student wing of nationalist party Awami Tehreek, took out a rally in Nasirabad on Friday against the issuance of illegal domiciles to the people of other provinces.
The rally was taken out from the bus stand of the city which after marching through different roads reached Sachal Press Club Nasirabad, where the participants held a protest demonstration and raised slogans against the Deputy Commissioners and Commissioners of Sindh for issuing domiciles to outsiders in violation of rules and regulations. People from different walks of life and members of the civil society also joined the protest.
Speaking on the occasion, the leaders vowed to run a vigorous campaign against the illegal issuance of domiciles and the officials involved in the scam. They said the right of people of Sindh was being snatched by DCs and other officers in the lust of bribe. They said that it was a big conspiracy backed by high authorities to make people of Sindh orphan. This is also a bid to convert people of Sindh into a minority, which will never be allowed at any cost, the leaders added.
Meanwhile, Noonari Mohalla Ittehad members, led by Manzoor Odhano, also took out a rally in the city against the issuance of the domiciles to the aliens. The leaders said that all illegal domiciles should be abolished and jobs given on them must also be terminated besides taking stern action against beneficiaries of the illegal domiciles.
