Sindh Minister for Energy, Planning, and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has called for the timely completion of all ongoing development projects under the Energy Department, stressing the necessity of merit and transparency.

His remarks came on Saturday during a high-level review meeting focused on current projects and proposed schemes for the fiscal year 2025-26.

Chairman of the Planning and Development Board Najam Ahmed Shah, Secretary of the Energy Department Mushtaq Ahmed Soomro, Project Director of SSEP Mahfooz Qazi, CEO of STDC Saleem Shaikh, and heads of various departments attended the meeting. Each officer provided detailed updates on their respective projects, and a briefing was given on proposed developments for the upcoming fiscal year.

Nasir Shah directed the removal of obstacles hindering the implementation of ongoing projects. He also conducted a comprehensive review of proposed schemes for the next fiscal year and instructed that all legal and documentation processes for upcoming projects be completed promptly.

Additionally, he ordered the preparation of budget proposals for projects supported by the World Bank to ensure their timely completion.

Najam Ahmed Shah assured the meeting of his and his department’s commitment to supporting the planning and documentation of development schemes. He offered the technical team of the P and D department as a resource for addressing any issues that may arise.
