KARACHI:Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) and the Hashmani Group of Hospitals on Wednesday inked the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide health facilities to the employees and students of the SMIU.
The SMIU Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Mujeebuddin Sahrai Memon and the Chief Executive Officer of Hashmani Group of Hospitals Mr. Arsalan Hashmani signed the documents at the VC Secretariat. The Hashmani Group of Hospitals will provide health facilities to the SMIU employees and its students. It will also set up medical camps and conduct health awareness sessions at different occasions.
Prof. Dr. Mujeebuddin Sahrai Memon briefed the delegation about university and said that we were living in pandemic situation and in addition to safety health of employees and students was university’s priority. “SMI is a historical institute and relationship with it is considered an honour for any organization,” said Professor Memon. He said that he wanted a strong and better relationship with Hashmani Group of Hospitals in future too.
Speaking on the MoU signing ceremony, Arsalan said that the Hashmani Group of Hospitals will also collaborate in other areas, including internships and scholarships for the SMIU students. SMIU Registrar Ghulam Mustafa Shaikh, Dr Syed Asif Ali, Dr Zahid Ali Channar, Dean Prof. Dr. Jamshed Adil, Director ORIC Dr. Amer Iqbal and Ammar Shakeel Corporate Manager, Hashmanis group of hospitals witnessed the MoU signing ceremony. Prof. Memon also presented a shield to the CEO of Hashmani Group of Hospitals.
