SNGPL conducts operation against illegal gas connections

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, Peshawar Region conducted a grand operation against illegal gas connections on the directions of Minister for Petroleum, Ghulam Sarwar Khan.

During the operation, 6550 meter illegal gas pipeline has been cut in areas of Sarband, Bahadur Kallay, Landi Sarrak, Chaersada Road and Landi Arbab.

Apart from this 6 FIRS have been registered and for 21 FIRs respective police stations have been taken in loop.

General Manager, SNGPL Peshawar Region Arbab Saqib said that legal actions will be taken against people who are using compressors.

For this purpose 57 compressors and 68 gas meters have been disconnected.

Work on 32kilometer gas supply line from Darra Adamkhel to Peshawar is nearing completion to supplement and address low gas pressure issue in the area.

Similarly, a 16-inch diameter pipeline spanning million would provide direct gas to the industrial estate near Hayatabad.

Also an extra 12 inch operation phase will be added in order to resolve gas pressure in Peshawar. Resultantly area notables admired this government for resolving gas issue in area.
