QUETTA: Snow spell continued on Sunday in northern districts of the province while on the other hand staff of PDMA, district administration and NHA remained busy clearing highways and roads with heavy machinery.

According to reports, different districts of northern Balochistan received heavy snow fall, blocking highways in different districts of northern Balochistan, including Quetta, Zhob, Loralai and Ziarat. Staff of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), district administration and National Highway Authority (NHA) remained busy re-opening and clearing highways, roads and to evacuate people to safer places in Khojak top, Ziarat More, Muslim Bagh, Kan Mehterzai Lakpass and Ziarat area of Balochistan province.

Similarly, staff PDMA and Medical Emergency Rescue Centre remained alert to cope up with any emergent situation at Quetta-Zhob, Quetta-Chaman, Quetta-Loralai, Quetta-Karachi, and Quetta-Ziarat routes.
