Islamabad, September 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser while addressing oath taking ceremony of Representatives of Baltistan Farmer’s Cooperatives Societies in Sakardu today. Appreciated agriculture Cooperative model of Baltistan and said that It should be replicated across the country to develop Agriculture sector. Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser is on three day official tour of Gilgit Baltistan.
Speaker Asad Qaiser said that Food insecurity is a looming threat and it is development of Agriculture which can save the country from this threat. He said that he himself constituted Special Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture Products which forwarded recommendations to Federal government for welfare of farmer community. He also said National Agriculture conference would be organized where four provinces including AJ and k and GB would be especially invited.
GB Agriculture Minister Masaam Kazim said that Tourism in GB has broke all record year and it is the first time that 3.5 Billions Rupee has been allocated from Federal PSDP for agriculture and live stock development in GB. The ceremony was attended by people from various walk of life. Earlier Speaker National Assembly Administrated, the oath of representatives of farmer cooperative societies of Baltistan.
