Special Secretary pays surprise visit to Corona Vaccination Centre

QUETTA: Ghulam Farooq Marri, Special Secretary, Health Department accompanied by Dr Naqeeb Niazi, head of Corona Cell Balochistan, paid a surprise visit to Corona Vaccination Centre, Sandeman Provincial Hospital Quetta, on Tuesday.

While giving briefing, Focal Person for Coronavirus, Dr Hafeez Syal said that the process of administering vaccines to frontline health workers of the hospital against novel coronavirus was in progress.

It was informed that in order to expedite administering vaccines in the hospital, work at the level of wards had been started by vaccinating staff posted in wards. On the occasion, Ghulam Farooq Marri urged the authorities concerned to expedite administering vaccines and get all frontline health workers vaccinated.

Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr Javed Akhtar and others were also present. Later on, Ghulam Farooq Marri visited the Coronavirus Vaccination Centre of Children Hospital Quetta.

Chief Executive, Children Hospital, Quetta, Professor Habibulah Babar briefed Special Secretary, Health Department about vaccination drive initiated in the hospital. Farooq Marri, Special Secretary, Health Department visited different wards and inquired after the health of patients.
