Sports: Cricket: PM gives green signal to men in green for England tour

Karachi:Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the upcoming tour of Pakistan cricket to England amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

According to reports, PCB Chief Ehsan Mani visited PM to discuss several issues including the upcoming tour of England. Pakistan cricket team will be travelling to England for three Tests and as many T20Is.

PM has also asked Mani not to terminate any of board’s employee as long as the crisis caused by the pandemic doesn’t alleviate.

Recently, PCB served termination letters to several lower staff but after criticism in the media, the board announced that it would not be terminating any employees but may restructure to make the organization more efficient.

Meanwhile, the two persons also discussed menace of match-fixing and PCB would now be looking to step up its efforts to deal with the perennial problem. No persons involved in the match-fixing scandal will face criminal justice and may be jailed if convicted.
