Sports: KSF joins hand with Adventure Scouts to reach out to needy sports persons amid lockdown

Karachi:Karachi Sports Forum (KSF) has taken on board Adventure Scouts Group to reach out to needy sports persons after stringent measures taken by law enforcement agencies to make lockdown effective.

KSF has been reaching out to needy sports persons but faced difficulty to properly execute the good work after LEAs has stepped up their efforts to make lockdown more effective, which is also considered necessary by health experts amid coronavirus threat.

“The group (Adventure Scouts) have more experience in distribution. The process to distribute ration bags has become easier for us after we have engaged Adventure Scouts,” KSF Chairman Asif Azeem told PPI.

KSF has taken the decision to engage Adventure Scouts after Sindh Government has opted for stricter lockdown measures.

“We can’t go against the law nor can leave needy persons of sports community of the city. This was the best option for us,” he added.

KSF is leading the way in Karachi by reaching out to needy sportspersons. Pakistan’s top present and former players including cricket superstar Shahid Afridi, former hockey great Olympian Islahuddin, squash legend Jahangir Khan and Champion’s Trophy winning team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed have also supported KSF’s initiative to reach out to underprivileged persons related to sports during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
