QUETTA: Irfan Saeed, President, Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) and Manzoor Ahmed, General Secretary, while condemning the act of forbidding senior journalist Syed Ali Shah to give coverage to Chief Minister’s briefing in the office of Director General PDMA regarding floods situation, has demanded of the authorities to take action against the responsible souls, according to a statement issued here on Wednesday.

Condemning the act of stopping senior journalist Syed Ali Shah from entering into the office of DG, PDMA during press briefing of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo regarding flood situation, they said that no official of PDMA could stop any journalist from press briefing on the pretext to have criticized the performance of PDMA, Balochistan. They said that Balochistan Union of Journalists believed in freedom of expression which could be compromised. They called on authorities to take notice of the incident and fix responsibility.
