KARACHI: The number of stray dogs has increased considerably in different areas of old Karachi, posing threat to people of the area.
The population of dogs has risen in Ranchor Line, Telephone Compound and Old City Area, Ramswami, Nankwar, Jodia Bazar, Urdu Bazaar, Pakistan Chowk, Civil Hospital, Railway Colony, Kharadar and Metha Darwar Saddar and other areas.
Former parliamentary leader belonging to District South, Waseem Qadri, said in a statement: “I have seen people running after motorcyclists late at night.” Most of the people have fallen and injured due to dogs fear. Get the people rid of these dogs, he added.
