Student delegation from China meets Deputy Chairman Senate

Islamabad, January 18, 2019 (PPI-OT): A group of exchange students from USA, China, Canada and Myanmar met Deputy Chairman Senate, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla today at Parliament House Islamabad. Senator Bahramand Khan Tangi was also present in meeting. The delegation was briefed about CPEC and historic relations that Pakistan and China have maintained over the years and how the One Belt One Road Initiative will benefit the region.

Speaking about the expectations of Pakistan related to this initiative, Deputy Chairman Senate, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla said that this project must not lose pace since there are many political dimensions to it. He said that in Pakistan there is no politics on CPEC and that every political party, every province, every individual supports it. He asserted that all of Pakistan expects to benefit from it especially Balochistan, that is yet to see the fruits of CPEC.

Speaking about Pakistan’s relationship with China, Deputy Chairman Senate, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla said that China tends to workout solutions that has been witnessed in different BOT projects. Deputy Chairman Senate, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla advised the students to visit The Senate Museum and Gali-e-Dastoor so that could perceive the struggle for democracy in Pakistan.
