PM: (PM hails Pakistan Navy’s efforts for defence of maritime frontiers)

Minister: (PM Imran to bring inflation down: Railways Minister)

ISLAMABAD: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad has said Prime Minister Imran Khan will bring the inflation down as he is working to resolve the issues of the country in a befitting manner. Talking to a private news channel, he said the Opposition parties' anti-government movement aims to disturb economy and stability in the country. He assured that the government under the dynamic leadership of Imran Khan will overcome the present day challenges. (Court): SHC serves notice to DC Thatta

Karachi:Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday served notice to Deputy Commissioner Thatta and other respondents on a plea filed by local residents against the construction of check posts on the root in Gharo town under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). A SHC bench heard a petition filed by Muhamad Akram and others against the construction of check posts and served the notice to DC Thatta and others and it also ordered them to submit their replies within two weeks. The petitioner stated that farmers’ land was being occupied by different departments to construct check posts under the CPEC. He stated that the owners of land were not given notices by relevant departments neither by DC Thatta.

Islamabad:Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt. Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa has said that Reko Diq stay order by World Bank (WB) tribunal on 6 billion US dollars award against Pakistan is a great relief. In a tweet on Friday, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to fully support government of Balochistan for accelerated development of mineral sector in a transparent manner and structured system.

Islamabad:Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said the government is committed to resolve issues being faced by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Talking to newsmen in Peshawar on Thursday, he said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will not only provide thousands of job opportunities in the province but also increase trade activities in the region. Asad Qaiser said work on the economic corridor between Peshawar and Torkham has also been initiated and Peshawar to Jalalabad route will be made part of CPEC. He said it will promote trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
