President: (Protection of rights main responsibility of the state: President)

Islamabad:President Dr Arif Alvi has said the protection of rights of people and providing them assistance in critical hours is the main responsibility of the state. He was speaking at a ration distribution ceremony for rain and flood affected people in Mirpurkhas on Saturday. The President appreciated the role of NGOs working in Badin, Sanghar, Sukkur and other parts of Sindh for their relief activities. He said Pakistan has set an example in defeating Coronavirus pandemic through its smart lockdown strategy.

Adviser: (Rs5000 billion debts repaid during last two years: Hafeez Shaikh)

Islamabad:Advisor on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has said the government has repaid five thousand billion rupees debt during the last two years. Addressing a ceremony in Karachi on Saturday, he said the government had to take tough decisions to restore the economy affected by Coronavirus pandemic. He said efforts are being made to provide investment friendly atmosphere in the country. Dr Hafeez Shaikh said the government paid special attention on revival of downtrodden segments of the society and Ehsaas programme was launched to provide relief to people.

NCOC: (286,157 patients recovered from coronavirus in Pakistan)

Islamabad: As many as 286,157 patients have recovered from coronavirus in Pakistan. According to the latest statistics of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), there are 6726 active coronavirus cases in the country. Of the 23,521 coronavirus tests carried out over the last twenty-four hours, 330 people tested positive. Five new deaths have also been reported from the virus during the last twenty-four hours.

NCOC: (281,925 people recovered so far from Corona in Pakistan)

ISLAMABAD:The number of recovered patients from Coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan has reached 281,925. As many as 424 new coronavirus infection cases were reported in the country during the last 24 hours. Total active infection cases are now 8,761. According to the data of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), ten people also lost their lives due to pandemic during the last 24 hours taking the death tally to 6,328.
