Karachi, March 25, 2019 (PPI-OT): Circle, a social enterprise focused on women’s economic empowerment, held a launch ceremony yesterday for the new phase of its highly successful Tech Karo program, which aims to create a pipeline of youth in tech by providing web development and life skills, with a special focus on women and those from underserved communities. The new phase will cover 3 years from 2019-2021, training 430 students in web development, UI/UX design and digital marketing, impart life skills, provide counselling and mentorship, and guarantee internship and job placements to at least 60% of the graduates. Karachi, January 28, 2019 (PPI-OT): Engro Vopak Terminal Limited in partnership with CIRCLE Women, a social enterprise focused on women’s economic empowerment, held Tech Karo’s Closing Ceremony today, at the Karachi School of Business and Leadership. The Tech Karo Program aims to create a pipeline of women in tech by providing web development and life skills to youth, especially women from the underserved communities – an initiative that champions the UN Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 8, of Gender Equality and Economic Growth.
