FM: (Pakistan, Iran agree to make joint efforts for peace, stability in region)

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan and Iran have agreed to make joint efforts for peace and stability in the region, including Afghanistan.   The understanding was reached at a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif here on Wednesday.   The two foreign ministers also expressed concern over the tendency of rising Islamophobia in some European countries and made it clear that blasphemous attitude in the garb of freedom of expression is not acceptable at all.   They exchanged views on bilateral relations, promotion of bilateral cooperation in diverse fields, and the Coronavirus pandemic. FM: (SCO to set up Centre of Excellence, Joint Working Group on Poverty Alleviation in Islamabad)

Islamabad:The Council of Foreign Ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has unanimously adopted Pakistan's proposal to set up a Center of Excellence in Islamabad and a Joint Working Group on Poverty Alleviation. This was stated by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in a video message on the conclusion of SCO meeting in Moscow on Thursday. He said all the members were of the view that the Corona pandemic still exists and for that we should formulate a common strategy to deal with. FM: (FM reaches Moscow on a two-day visit)

Islamabad:Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has reached Moscow on a two-day visit to Russia. Pakistan's Ambassador in Moscow Shafqat Ali Khan, Additional Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zahoor Ahmed and senior officials of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the Foreign Minister at Moscow Domodedovo Airport. The Foreign Minister is paying the visit to Russia at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. He will attend a meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization to be held in Moscow tomorrow.
