ISLAMABAD:The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has called for banning large public gatherings and enhancing restrictions in high risk areas due to COVID-19 resurge.   The NCOC meeting chaired by Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar here on Wednesday reviewed the epidemic curve data and disease prevalence in the country. NCOC: (4136 micro small lockdowns in place countrywide to control spread of COVID-19: NCOC)

ISLAMABAD:A meeting of National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) was informed on Monday that 4136 micro small lockdowns are in place across the country to control the spread of Coronavirus.   The forum was informed that Test Trace and Quarantine strategy is being used for disease control and prevention.   The meeting noted that positivity ratio in major cities is increasing rapidly with nationwide positivity rate stands at four point five percent.   The forum was informed that recent health guidelines will remain in force in sixteen major cities till 31 January next year.   The meeting was apprised that 2811 oxygenated beds were included to ramp up hospitals capacity. NCOC: (NCOC decides to review prevailing COVID-19 situation)

ISLAMABAD: National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has decided to review prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country and formulate comprehensive response to check any possible resurgence of the pandemic to ensure public health and safety. Planning Minister Asad Umar chaired the NCOC meeting here on Thursday. The forum decided that the review report will be shared with all stakeholders for their input and after consensus, implementation strategy will be issued in next few days. Minister: (NCOC directs to crack down on SOPs violations in indoor restaurants, marriage halls)

Islamabad:National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has directed all the provinces and federating units to crack down on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) violations in indoor restaurants and marriage halls. In a tweet on Friday, Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said indoor restaurants and marriage halls are emerging as high contributors to COVID-19 spread. He said we must not allow irresponsible behaviour of some to put the health of everyone at risk.

NCOC: (96% patients recovered from coronavirus in Pakistan)

Islamabad: Over ninety-six percent patients of coronavirus have recovered from the infection so far in Pakistan showing a steady progress towards the elimination of the pandemic in the country. According to the latest statistics issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), out of 301,481 cases reported so far, 289,429 patients have recovered from coronavirus in Pakistan. Now the country has only 5,673 active cases. 31411 coronavirus tests were carried out over the last twenty-four hours and 526 people tested positive. Six people died from the virus during the last twenty-four hours.
