PHF to revive Tray Hockey Championship after five years

KARACHI:Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is looking to revive Tray Hockey Championship after five years. Tray Hockey Championship was federation's important and regular event till 2015. PHF will now be organizing the event from October 20 to 31. The federation is yet to announce the venue. The teams, which will be seen in action during the tournament are Air Force, Mari Petroleum, Railways, Punjab, KP, Sindh, Balochistan, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK, Customs, PTV, POF, Suit Northern Gas Pipelines, HEC, Zarai Taraqiati Bank, Fauji Foundation and Pakistan Steel Mills. Top three teams from the tournament will qualify for next month's National Championship.

PHF eyes World Cup Asian region qualifiers in Pakistan

KARACHI:Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has requested Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) to give hosting rights of World Cup Asian Region qualifiers to Pakistan. The request to hold the qualifying matches was made by PHF President Khalid Khokar when he met the delegation of the AHF. During the meeting, Khalid said he assured the officials about Pakistan being a safe country for international hockey events. (Hockey): PHF organizes training camp for goalkeepers from September 25

Karachi: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is organizing physical fitness training camp for national junior goalkeepers at National Hockey Stadium in Lahore from September 25 to October 5. Olympian Nasir Ahmed will conduct the goalkeepers training camp and it will be coordinated by Olympian Khawaja Muhammad Junaid. PHF is organizing this camp to prepare young goalkeepers for the upcoming assignment of Junior Asia Cup Hockey Tournament, which will be played in Dhaka, Bangladesh from January 21 to 30 next year. Chairman Selection Committee Manzoor Junior has shortlisted seven goalkeepers for the camp. (Hockey): PHF officials condole with Habib over his brother’s demise

Karachi:Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) President Khalid Sajjad Khokhar, Secretary Muhammad Asif Bajwa and other officials condoled with their colleague Habib-ur-Rehman over his brother’s demise. “May the soul of the departed rest in eternal peace. May Allah Almighty give his family strength to bear this irreparable loss,” Khokhar prayed. Habib is a senior PHF employee.
