PN: (Naval Chief visits Turkish Naval Shipyards)

ISLAMABAD:Naval Chief Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi has said defending the maritime boundaries is the prime responsibility of Pakistan Navy, and the Navy is ever ready for it.   Speaking during a visit to Cracks area, he said full utilization of weapons is also important along with the valour to defend maritime boundaries of the country.   The Naval Chief visited forward positions along the south-eastern boundary and met the officers and Jawans deployed there.   He was briefed on the dangers in the Cracks area and operational preparedness of the Pakistan Navy.

PN: (Pak-Navy to protect national maritime interests at all costs: Naval Chief)

Islamabad:Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi has said Pakistan Navy will protect national maritime interests at all costs. He was speaking in interaction with officers and naval personnel during his visit to and Ormara on Saturday. The Naval Chief met the officers and other naval personnel deployed in the Coastal Area and appreciated their commitment and enthusiasm. Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi also inaugurated newly constructed Marines Training Center. This Center will provide basic training and advanced courses to Marines from Pakistan and friendly countries. During visit to Ormara, the Naval Chief also inaugurated new infrastructure of the 21st Air Defense Battalion, which will further strengthen air defense of installations in coastal areas.

PN: (Ceremony to confer military awards on Pak Navy’s officers, sailors held in Karachi)

Islamabad:A ceremony to confer military awards on Pakistan Navy's officers and sailors was held in Karachi on Thursday. Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, who was the chief guest on the occasion, gave away the award. According to the Spokesperson for Pakistan Navy, fourteen officers were awarded Sitara Imtiaz (Military), twenty officers Tamgha Imtiaz (Military) and seven officers and sailors were given Tamgha Basalat for their bravery. Besides, 147 Master Chief Petty Officers, Chief Petti Officers and sailors were granted Tamgha Khidmat (Military) Class I, II and III. Sixty-three officers, Chief Petty Officers, sailors and Navy civilians were given Letter of Appreciation from the Chief of Naval Staff.
