ISLAMABAD:President Dr Arif Alvi has emphasized on mass awareness about advantages of breastfeeding for better health of mother and child. Addressing a seminar on Promotion of Breastfeeding here on Monday, he said media, Ulema and Lady Health workers have important role to play in this regard. The President said breastfeeding proves an effective prevention against several diseases for mother and child, and it is the best nutrition for a new born baby. He said we need to follow the Quranic teachings about breastfeeding, which have also been endorsed by modern science.

President: (President confers Hilal-e-Pakistan on Turkish FM)

ISLAMABAD:President Dr Arif Alvi has conferred Hilal-e-Pakistan on Turkish Foreign Minister (FM) Mevlut Cavusoglu in recognition of his services for international peace and security and further strengthening of Pakistan-Turkey bilateral relationship. An investiture ceremony in this regard was held here at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Wednesday.
