ISLAMABAD:Special Assistant to the Prime Minster on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Dr Faisal Sultan has said the role of media is important in creating public awareness about COVID-19.   Addressing the participants of an online workshop for journalists on 'COVID-19, he lauded the role of civil society and media for keeping the public informed about the coronavirus.   He apprised the participants of the challenges posed by COVID-19 and the measures taken by the government to curb the second wave of the pandemic.

SAPM: (Phase-wise Ehsaas survey continues across the country: Dr Sania)

ISLAMABAD:Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar has said that phase-wise Ehsaas Survey continues across the country to register deserving families in different programmes.   Giving her replies to various queries at twitter on Sunday, she said registration desks are also being set up at Tehsil level to facilitate the deserving people.   She said in the first phase of Ehsaas Kifalat program, payment is being disbursed among four point three million registered women.   Dr Sania Nishtar said payment can be received only through biometric verification at ATM cabin of designated bank without debit card.   She said each registered woman is being provided 12000 rupees as first installment.

SAPM: (Providing relief to the poor top priority of Govt: Sania Nishtar)

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar has said that providing relief to the poor and underprivileged people of society is the top priority of the government.   Addressing newsmen in Peshawar on Saturday, she said the government has already started National Socio-economic survey across the country to register deserving families for Ehsaas programmes. She said eighty thousand deserving people are being given Ehsaas interest free loans every month to start their own businesses.   She hoped the survey for Ehsaas programmes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be completed by April next year. Earlier, the Special assistant visited a household in Peshawar along with the survey team and inspected the process of survey.
