Karachi, January 14, 2021 (PPI-OT): Hon. Gas Utility Court, Larkana, rejected bail application of accused Nasir Ali Abro. The culprit was found guilty of accessing gas directly from Company pipeline to run an ice factory for commercial purpose. This prosecution success ensures that the accused is liable to cover the quantum of loss faced by SSGC due to this incident. Accused has already paid Rs. 2,420,000/- in this regard. In another incident, Intelligence Wing Security Services and Counter Gas Theft Operations (SS and CGTO) of SSGC and police conducted a joint raid in Hub Baldia Zone West and identified a hotel that was using gas directly from the company’s pipeline. SSGC Media Briefing: Consumers need to follow gas load management plan to ensure gas supplies

Hosts MPCL beat SSGC in a close match

KARACHI:Hosts MPCL overcame seasoned SSGC 4-3 after a thrilling encounter on Friday in the 66th National Senior Hockey Championship at Mari Petroleum Ground in Rawalpindi.   Earlier in the tournament opener, Army thrashed Police by a big 9-1 margin.   Meanwhile, WAPDA players also played well on the day beating Punjab by 8-2 score.   Navy also sealed a convincing 6-2 win against Port Qasim on the day. SSGC Prosecution Success, 5 Years Imprisonment, fined PKR 100,000/-

Honourable Court of District and Session Judge / Gas Utility Court, Hyderabad Judge, Mr. Mohammad Iqbal Met Syed Sharufudeen in a Special Case, gave the verdict of five years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs. 100,000/-, on the failure of non-paying of cost of fine the punishment of four months will be levelled to the accused Nizamudeen. Gas Theft raids: One arrested, many underground and overhead theft unearthed

Karachi, July 08, 2019 (PPI-OT): As part of Operation Grift, the anti-gas theft campaign, SSGC’s Security Services and Counter Gas Theft Operations’ (SS and CGTO) Department carried out a raid in North Karachi Area. During the raid, it was observed that the culprits were using gas directly for power generation and supplying electricity to an entire apartment block. Total load obtained was approximately 338 cubic feet per hour (cft/hr) with 2 psig pressure. The direct connection was removed and disconnected. The culprit was arrested and FIR was lodged. Government and SSGC serious in controlling the menace of gas theft

Karachi, July 08, 2019 (PPI-OT):Nadeem Babar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Petroleum held wide ranging talks with the SSGC management on the menace of gas theft and the measures the Government of Pakistan and the gas utility are taking to control it. The Special Assistant said that in April 2019, SSGC and SNGPL formulated a campaign to control gas theft with the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) and his meeting with the SSGC management at the Company Head Office was primarily to review the progress on anti-gas theft numbers and UFG-reduction front.
