Karachi, April 05, 2019 (PPI-OT): A joint delegation of Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchants Association (PCDMA) and Indenters Association of Pakistan, under leader ship of Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, Former V. President FPCCI Met with Minister of State Hammad Azhar, Shahid Waseem Chairman and Saleem NINI V. Chairman PCDMA were also the part of delegation. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon Pointed out that Chemical Manufacturers and Commercial Importers of items listed in SRO 1125 facing problems and receiving undue Show cause notices due to Anomalies in CREST, So Need Modification In this Software According to Real Soul of SRO 1125.
Minister of State Hammad Azhar said Govt. would resolve the issues of CREST and SRO 1125. He said Govt. believe on business friendly and Ease of Doing business Policies. He Gave assurance to resolves the matter of Show Causes issued due to Anomalies in CREST. Hammad Azhar said his Ministry fully Awared that Trade Association can Advise better than any Other trade bodies regarding issues of his Particular sector and can gives Practical solutions.
Saquib Fayyaz Magoon said, So many Amendments and Conditions in This SRO created complications for Tax Payers as well as Tax Collectors, he Further said, Such SRO was applicable after reducing a long list of multipurpose items (used by all industries) to a very short list of those items which are mainly used in five zero-rated sectors such as textile, leather, carpet, surgical and sports”.
He said so just make it simple and Zero Rated Should be charged on sale of all Chemicals listed in SRO 1125. Govt. should focus on generation of Business and Economic Activities to Increase Revenue. Only business friendly Atmosphere and Ease of doing business policies can flourish our Economic Activities and Export. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon said that Tax Policy makers should Took Trade Associations on board during Tax Policy making Procedure as Particular Sector Trade Association able to highlight Real issues at Micro level of his sector.
Chairman PCDMA Shahid Waseem Said Industrial Raw material Commercial Importers playing Major Role by supplying Raw-material timely to Small and Medium scale manufacturer. So Govt should resolve their issues and problems on preference bases.
