Ten individuals, including proclaimed offenders, were taken into custody during a wide-ranging security operation across the federal capital today that also resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics and a cache of weapons.
The initiative, part of a broader crackdown by Islamabad Police to curb criminal activities, involved multiple police stations. Teams from Golra, Tarnol, Koral, Khanna, Phulgran, and Bani Gala apprehended seven suspects. Authorities recovered 1280 grams of hashish, four pistols, one gun with ammunition, and a dagger from their possession.
Separately, a special campaign targeting fugitives led to the arrest of three additional wanted criminals, identified as absconders and proclaimed offenders.
Official cases have been registered against the nabbed suspects, and further investigations are currently underway, according to the Islamabad Capital Police.
SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, affirmed that law enforcement is continuously working to ensure the protection of citizens” lives and property. He stated that no one would be permitted to disrupt the peace of the city and that the safety of residents remains the force”s primary objective.
The SSP also encouraged the public to contribute to making the city crime-free by reporting any suspicious individuals or activities to the relevant police station or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”, highlighting the importance of mutual cooperation between the community and law enforcement.
